Caravan Rallies

We have experienced several different rallies with East and West
Dorset, Hurn Dorset Caravan Club, Bailey Owners Caravan Club and go on
and say all enjoyed the old fashioned…… All the groups were invited to
experience the daily life on a working dairy farm by visiting the
milking parlour, watching the cows, feeding the calves and a tractor and
trailer ride if required. To round off each evening many of the visitors
can experience the taste of our produce home reared steak, burgers and
sausages purchased on the farm. Also our free range eggs. Children were
invited to take a ride on the newly invented cow train which was enjoyed
by all.
Bookings available just give us a call ……
Comments from the rallies
Once
again a big thank you for making our rally the success it was. The
comments received by our ralliers were fantastic, all having enjoyed a
wonderful weekend. Your efforts were greatly appreciated, including your
time given towards the tractor & trailer tour around the farm which adults
and children found very interesting and informative. As for the cow train
rides they were something else. Look forward to seeing you soon.
Our first (but not last) time visiting your farm and what a brilliant
week end you provided for us. The tractor ride, the barrel train, the tour
of the farm, field facilities, fresh wholesome farm produced food not to
mention your warm and friendly welcome. We have had a lot of rallies in
our area but this has to rate amongst the highest.
During
2005 we became a Caravan Club Certificated
Location. This means that Caravan Club members can book to
stay with us for only £7.00 a night. The club field of
about half an acre is fully fenced and gated, level and
regularly cut. We restrict the numbers of vans to a
maximum of 5 thus ensuring plenty of space for all and little
wear and tear by the end of the season. New
in 2008 we now have 2 hard standings making it easier for year-round
accommodation.
Each
pitch has electric hook-up, and there are communal mains
services in the middle of the field. There is a small food
store on site and a freezer full of essentials and even some ice
cream! We can even charge batteries as required in the
main building.
Being
well away from the main road and in a little hollow it is not
only secluded, but quiet. Only the occasional cow to upset
you. Dogs are welcome at no extra cost, but please respect
other users of the site and keep them controlled at all
times. You can walk out from the farm for miles over
footpaths and bridleways, never having to go near a main road.
The local area has many attractions and Sherborne is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful towns in England. With its abundance of medieval buildings, superb Abbey, world famous Schools, picturesque Almshouse and two Castles, Sherborne has much to offer visitors. Ideally located on the Dorset and Somerset border it has excellent transport links.
